How to Use STALEKS Nail Clippers

Step 1: Prepare Your Nails

Start with clean, dry natural nails. Remove any dirt or debris from underneath the nails before trimming. Make sure your nail clipper is clean and ready for use.

Step 2: Position the Nail Clipper

Lift and rotate the lever into its operating position. Hold the clipper securely between your thumb and index finger, placing the curved cutting edges along the free edge of your nail.

Step 3: Trim Carefully

Gently press the lever to trim the nail using smooth, controlled movements. Avoid cutting too deeply into the nail bed or surrounding skin.

For wider nails, make several small cuts instead of attempting to remove the entire free edge in one motion. This helps minimize pressure and reduce the risk of splitting.

Step 4: Shape the Nail

Follow the natural contour of your fingernail while leaving a small amount of free edge. Use a separate nail file to smooth any rough corners or uneven edges after clipping.

For toenails, trim more straight across to help reduce the risk of ingrown nails.

Step 5: Clean and Store

After trimming, remove nail debris and clean the clipper according to the care instructions below. Dry completely before storing.

How to Clean and Disinfect Manicure Tools with Barbicide

Proper cleaning and disinfection help maintain tool hygiene, preserve cutting performance, and reduce the risk of cross-contamination.

Step 1: Clean – Remove Dirt & Debris

Wash your hands and wear protective gloves.
Scrub the manicure tools using warm water, mild dish soap, and a small, soft brush.
Carefully remove nail dust, oils, skin particles, and other visible debris around the cutting edges and joints.
Rinse thoroughly with clean water.

Important: Always clean manicure tools before disinfection. Dirt and debris can interfere with the disinfectant's effectiveness.

Step 2: Disinfect – Soak in Barbicide

For reusable metal manicure tools approved by their manufacturer for Barbicide immersion:

Prepare the Solution: Mix 2 fl oz of original Barbicide Concentrate with 32 fl oz of water, following the manufacturer's label.
Fully Submerge: Place cleaned manicure tools completely into the prepared Barbicide solution. Use a suitable disinfection tray to protect sharp cutting edges.
Disinfection Time: Allow the tools to soak for 10 minutes, as directed on the Barbicide label.
Avoid Over-Soaking: Do not leave tools immersed longer than recommended, as prolonged chemical exposure may damage metal surfaces or cutting edges.

Step 3: Rinse, Dry & Store

Carefully remove the tools from the disinfectant solution.
Rinse thoroughly under clean running water to remove chemical residue.
Dry completely using a clean, lint-free towel or paper towel.
Store in a clean, dry, covered container until the next use.

Important Tool Care & Safety Information

Product Compatibility: The STALEKS BEAUTY & CARE 11 KBC-11 is designed for personal home use. Confirm that Barbicide immersion is approved for this specific model before using this disinfection method.
Disinfection vs. Sterilization: Barbicide is a disinfectant, not a sterilizing solution.
Protect Cutting Edges: Avoid dropping the clipper or allowing the blades to strike other metal instruments.
Prevent Corrosion: Never store manicure tools while wet.
Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use undiluted disinfectants or cleaning chemicals not approved for the tool.
No Heat Sterilization: Do not process the KBC-11 in an autoclave or dry-heat sterilizer.
Personal Use: Do not use this home-care tool for professional salon services requiring validated disinfection or sterilization procedures.

Care Tip: Regular cleaning, proper drying, and careful storage help maintain your STALEKS nail clipper's sharpness, smooth operation, and long-lasting performance.
