How the Double Dual Form Works

The bottom form is positioned underneath the natural nail and helps shape the underside of the extension. Product is then placed inside the top dual form, which is positioned over the natural nail and aligned with the bottom form.

As the two forms come together, the gel is shaped between them—creating the “sandwich” effect. After curing according to your gel manufacturer's instructions, the top and bottom forms are carefully removed, leaving the extension ready for final shaping and finishing.

Basic Application

1. Prep the natural nail
Clean and prepare the nail plate, push back the cuticle area, gently remove surface shine, and apply your preferred nail-prep products according to your gel system.

2. Choose the correct size
Select top and bottom forms that properly fit the natural nail. The forms should sit comfortably without excessive pressure or large gaps.

3. Position the bottom form
Align the bottom form underneath the free edge of the natural nail and secure it using your preferred compatible application method.

4. Apply product to the top form
Place an appropriate amount of polygel or builder gel inside the top form. Keep the cuticle and sidewall areas controlled while building the desired structure through the center of the extension.

5. Create the sandwich
Position the filled top form over the natural nail and gently press it into alignment with the bottom form. Watch the product through the clear form and remove any excess before curing.

6. Cure completely
Flash cure as needed to stabilize the form, then complete the full cure according to the instructions provided by the manufacturer of your gel product.

7. Remove and finish
Gently release the top form followed by the bottom form. Refine the length and sidewalls as needed, lightly buff where necessary, clean the surface, and finish with top coat.
